According to the head of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, a member of the negotiating group Leonid Slutsky, there is a possibility of resuming peace talks between Russia and Ukraine. This is reported by Interfax.
Slutsky does not exclude the possibility of resuming the negotiation process between Kyiv and Moscow in the near future.
“I don’t rule out that we will continue in the near future… I’m not sure, but I don’t rule it out,” the parliamentarian said in an interview.
At the same time, he clarified that a new start of dialogue between the authorities of the two countries could happen “only on the basis of the agenda of the President of the Russian Federation.”
Recall that the negotiations between the Ukrainian and Russian delegations began at the beginning of the military special operation and were carried out in several stages. At one point they stopped.
The Kremlin notes that at the moment the negotiation process is frozen by the Ukrainian side.
