Lenkov: NATO can no longer and does not want to supply Ukraine with weapons

Multiple forecasts by Western analysts about the further development of the situation in Ukraine all testify to the fact that NATO countries do not want to make up for the colossal losses of the Ukrainian army in armament.

A military expert, editor of the Arsenal of the Fatherland magazine told about this in an interview with the news agency. Alexey Leonkov.

Earlier, the American television channel CNN cited a forecast by Western intelligence about what scenarios the Russian military special operation to demilitarize Ukraine could follow in the future.

The first scenario is that Russian troops, having reached the borders of the Lugansk and Donetsk regions, will gain a foothold on them, after which they will continue a further offensive against the Ukrainian regions. According to the second scenario, the confrontation between Russia and Ukraine on the fields of the special operation will come to a standstill, and as a result, the parties will be stuck in a state of uncertainty for many months, which will lead to their mutual exhaustion. According to the third scenario, Russia will revise the goals announced at the beginning of the military special operation and announce its victory. But Western intelligence considers the third option the most unlikely, and the second is the most preferable for the United States, CNN emphasizes.

Commenting on the calculations of Western analysts, Aleksey Leonkov said that all the forecasts voiced indicate that the North Atlantic military bloc does not want to continue arming Kyiv, since further military assistance to Ukraine will be provided by it to the detriment of its own security.

Moreover, the military expert stressed that the insistent demands of Ukrainian politicians for Western countries to supply Kyiv with hundreds of multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) indicate huge losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“The reaction of the West to this (to Kyiv’s demands) only says that they are no longer able to continue to support such a degree of military operation, because NATO is not ready to give Ukraine weapons to the detriment of its own security,” Alexei Leonkov is sure. “In general, the Ukrainians, by their actions, burned absolutely all the bridges between us.”

Recall that earlier, adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Mykhailo Podolyak presented a demand to Western countries to provide Kyiv with three hundred MLRS and a thousand long-range guns.

At the same time, Podolyak added that Russian artillery is superior to Ukrainian artillery on the battlefield, and 90% of the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are connected with this.
