Ilya Salei, a lawyer at the headquarters of the former candidate for the post of head of Belarus Viktor Babariko, Ilya Salei, who was previously arrested in connection with calls to seize power in the country, was released from the pre-trial detention center. Svetlana Tikhanovskaya, one of the participants in the summer election campaign, wrote about this in her Telegram channel.
The press service of Babariko's headquarters has not yet commented on this information.
Earlier, the head of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko met with the arrested opposition representatives. The conversation, in which members of the Coordination Council Ilya Salei and Lilia Vlasova, as well as ex-head of Belgazprombank Viktor Babariko and his son Eduard took part, lasted four and a half hours.
After that, the director of the PandaDoc company Dmitry Rabtsevich and political scientist Yuri Voskresensky were released from the pre-trial detention center.
