Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov announced Moscow’s interest in providing maximum assistance to Libya.
The minister is today holding a meeting with his colleague from the Government of National Accord of Libya, Muhammad Siyala. Before the start of the talks, Lavrov said that it was planned to discuss the efforts being made by the international community in support of the Libyans.
“Your assessments of the steps that need to be taken additionally will be important to us,” RIA Novosti quotes the words of the Russian minister.
We will remind, in the west of Libya, the Government of National Accord formed with the support of the UN and the EU is working. He is opposed by the Libyan National Army (LNA), led by Marshal Khalifa Haftar, who cooperates with the parliament in the east of the country.
