RF President Vladimir Putin’s proposal to US President Joe Biden to continue the discussions “live” remained unanswered. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov spoke about this in the Big Game on Channel One.
In his opinion, the situation in relations with the West is of a more serious nature, “than just words,” since “it has long been accompanied by a material build-up of the infrastructure of confrontation.”
As examples, Lavrov named the advancement of NATO military facilities to the East, as well as the constant presence of alliance forces on the borders of the Russian Federation.
Recall, Biden in an interview with ABC TV company made harsh statements against the leadership of the Russian Federation. After that, the Russian ambassador to the United States, Anatoly Antonov, was invited to Moscow for consultations.
Putin in turn invited Biden to talk live, but there was no specific response to this proposal from the White House.
Meanwhile, the press secretary of the Russian leader Dmitry Peskov stated that Putin would not allow the US to speak to Russia from a position of strength.
