Lavrov denied reports of Putin’s deteriorating health

The European media have repeatedly published materials that Russian President Vladimir Putin is ill. This information was denied by Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

In an interview with a French publication, the head of the Foreign Ministry said that Vladimir Putin regularly appears on the screen, he is in front of millions of people. Therefore, it is not difficult to track his general health. According to Lavrov, information about Putin’s illness is deliberately spread and does not go beyond banal rumors.

“I don’t think that sane people can see in this person signs of some kind of illness or ailment. I leave it on the conscience of those who spread such rumors despite everyday opportunities to make sure who and what they look like,” the Foreign Minister stressed.

The fact that the Russian leader is in excellent shape was previously announced by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko. He also stressed that all publications of foreign media are caused only by the desire to undermine the credibility of the head of state.
