Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov announced Moscow’s readiness to respond to any unfriendly actions of Washington, reports RIA Novosti, referring to his speech at a press conference in Kazakhstan.
At the same time, Lavrov clarified that so far “he has not seen any concrete decisions” by the United States regarding new restrictive measures.
“I’ve read reports that the administration has completed a review of Russia’s hostile actions. They did it somehow quickly, ”the Russian minister said.
Lavrov also called the United States and its allies unreliable partners that cannot be relied on. “In key areas for the life support of the state.” In addition, the diplomat considered unconvincing Washington’s statements about its readiness to build predictable relations with the Russian Federation.
Earlier it was reported that Washington is considering the possibility of expelling Russian diplomats and introducing new restrictive measures in response to alleged Russian interference in the American elections, as well as to alleged hacker attacks.
In addition, it became known that the US Department of Justice prepared two packages of sanctions against the construction of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline.
