According to the Polish publicist Ronald Lasetsky, if Warsaw and Kyiv jointly dared to create nuclear weapons, the Western allies would not tolerate it. In a conversation with journalists, the expert noted that, in general, Poland and Ukraine were capable of such a step, using the developments in nuclear weapons from the times of the USSR. Poland’s capital would suffice for this.
Lasetsky noted that it would not be beneficial for the West. He cited as an example how in 1998 India and Pakistan were testing nuclear weapons, and the reaction of Western countries was not long in coming.
“Poland and Ukraine should have withdrawn from the 1968 Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, the OSCE, the Council of Europe, and Poland, additionally, from the EU and NATO,” the publicist said.
Earlier, SM-News reported that Poland announced the purchase of 500 HIMARS rocket launchers.
