The end of the heat in the zone of conflict on the border of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan has already been reported. Now the neighboring republics have begun to withdraw additional military formations, which were attracted during the aggravation of the border situation. This was told now, on May 2, in the press service of the border service of the Kyrgyz State Committee for National Security (GKNB).
“The parties undertook to withdraw additional forces and weapons from the state border line to the points of continuous deployment,” the State Committee for National Security said in a statement.
At the same time, it is clarified that the situation on the border is stable and on the night of May 1-2, there were no shootings either from Kyrgyzstan or from Tajikistan.
The Kyrgyz department also clarified that the units of the border guards are serving in an enhanced manner on the controversial section of the border.
