Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said that Kiev expects from cooperation with the administration of US President-elect Joe Biden “dynamic and driving relations”, reports the TV channel “1 + 1”.
According to him, Ukraine expects “rock and roll” from relations with the new US administration. According to the minister, in fact, states are strategic partners, but both countries “need to add even more sound to this song of strategic partnership.”
Kuleba named the security sphere, cooperation in the implementation of reforms and in trade in world markets as priorities of bilateral cooperation.
In addition, the minister said that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has not yet been invited to Biden’s inauguration, but he is sure that in the future they will be on good terms.
Earlier, Zelensky expressed the opinion that the elected head of the United States, Joe Biden, would contribute to the settlement of the conflict in Donbass. In his opinion, the democrat will strengthen relations between Kiev and Washington, help to resolve the war in Donbass and put an end to the “occupation” of Ukrainian territory.
We will remind, following the results of the electoral college vote, Biden scored 306 votes, confirming his victory in the presidential elections in the United States. His inauguration is due on January 20.
