Presenter and journalist Ksenia Sobchak is horrified by the rebranding of the famous fast food.

The new logo of the McDonald’s chain of fast food restaurants relaunched in Russia was shown on June 9. The logo depicts the symbols of a popular restaurant: two pieces of yellow fries and a yellow-orange burger. The background color was green. As specified in the press service of the company, the green color symbolizes the “quality of products and services.”

It was also reported that the name for the relaunched restaurant chain has not yet been chosen. At the moment, the company is studying eight options, including “Free Cash” and “The Same”.

Ksenia Sobchak could not pass by such an event. The TV presenter and journalist criticized the new McDonald’s logo, calling it monstrous.

Already this weekend, restaurants of the former McDonald’s network will begin to reopen in Moscow and the region. Fast food outlets will have a new name and a changed menu.

On June 7, the addresses of the first 15 restaurants that will open in Moscow and the Moscow region on June 12 after the network was restarted became known. 12 points of the new McDonald’s will start working in Moscow on the Arbat, Krasnaya Presnya, Bolshaya Bronnaya, Bolshaya Ordynka, Bolshaya Dorogomilovskaya, on Pokryshkina, Butyrskaya, Lyublinskaya streets, on Marshal Zhukov Avenue and Kolomenskoye passage, as well as on Leningradskoye and Kashirskoye highways. In addition, three restaurants will start operating in Khimki, Reutov and Odintsovo.

It is known that the staff of the fast food chain will retain their jobs. There will be no layoffs in the company for the next two years. The uniforms of the employees will also remain the same, with the exception of patches with the logo of the former brand.
