Excerpts from the closed meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin with the chief editors of Russian media will be published on the Kremlin’s website, said Dmitry Peskov, press secretary of the head of state.
According to him, the Kremlin will share information tonight so that TV channels can use it if they wish. In particular, comments on Donbass will become open, TASS reports.
Peskov denied reports that Putin allegedly stated that the issue of Donbass in Russia should be adopted taking into account the interests of all Russians. A spokesman called this information incorrect. He admitted that the topic of Donbass was discussed at the meeting, and assured that the president’s commentary would soon appear in the public domain.
The day before, Peskov spoke about Putin’s traditional meeting with chief editors of Russian media on February 10. The meeting was attended by 35 people. The communication took place in the format of a video conference.
