The Kremlin caught US President Joe Biden in ignorance of political geography after his words about “violation of the rights” of homosexuals in Chechnya.
Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov commented on the speech of US President Joe Biden at the UN General Assembly. In his speech, he said that the United States and its allies must protect the rights of representatives of sexual minorities around the world, wherever they live – in Chechnya or Cameroon.
A Kremlin spokesman noted that it is incorrect to compare Chechnya and Cameroon. In one case, we are talking about the region of Russia, in the other – about a separate African state.
From the point of view of political geography, such a listing is incorrect,

Earlier, Biden’s words were also commented on by the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov. He said that it was strange for him to hear that the United States is concerned about the observance of human rights, because America “has plowed the entire Arab world with bombs.” Kadyrov also invited the American leader to Chechnya to assess the situation in the region on his own, and not only on the basis of reports from the left-liberal media.
