Kravchuk put forward an ultimatum at negotiations on Donbass

The head of the Ukrainian delegation to the Trilateral Contact Group on Donbass, Leonid Kravchuk, demanded that the representative of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic Maya Pirogova be excluded from the political subgroup, RIA Novosti reports.

“As soon as this person appears in the negotiations, we will not even explain why, but we are leaving the negotiations for a period until Heidi Grau achieves her exclusion from the negotiation process,” Kravchuk said.

He specified that the demand was passed on to the moderator of the talks from the OSCE, Heidi Grau.

Kravchuk stressed that he does not know whether Pirogova will take part in the next meeting of the TCG, since her illness was previously reported.

Earlier, Kravchuk called for a referendum on the status of Crimea and Donbass. He stressed that the referendum should include “the need to return these regions under the control of Kiev, and not a way of their reintegration.”

Recall that Crimea became part of Russia in 2014 after a referendum. The Russian authorities have repeatedly said that the question of ownership of the peninsula is closed.
