Krasnoyarsk will apply to host a figure skating championship

Krasnoyarsk plans to apply to host the Russian Figure Skating Championship in 2022 by the end of May this year, TASS reports, citing the Minister of Sports of the Territory Pavel Rostovtsev.

Earlier Rostovtsev said that Russian figure skaters can conduct the final stage of preparation for the 2022 Winter Olympics at the Kristall ice arena in Krasnoyarsk.

The next Russian Championship will take place in December 2021 in St. Petersburg.

In turn, the International Skating Union (ISU) did not cancel or postpone the 2021 World Cup, which is due to take place on the appointed date, March 22-28, in Stockholm, despite the coronavirus pandemic.
