Kozak held talks with advisers to the leaders of Germany and France

Dmitry Kozak, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation, held talks with foreign policy advisers to the Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany and the head of France.

The meeting, organized at the initiative of the Russian side, took place in the Moscow region and lasted almost 4.5 hours. It discussed the settlement of the situation in Donbass.

According to Kozak, the parties discussed a number of practical steps to implement the Minsk agreements, and also agreed on plans for further contacts, including organizing meetings at the ministerial level in the “Normandy format”.

He noted that the new government of Germany and the French leadership have confirmed their adherence to the Minsk agreements as an uncontested basis for resolving the military conflict, RIA Novosti reports.

Recently, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs Josep Borrell said that the conflict in Donbass is on the verge of escalation.
