Poland is developing three plans at once for the “development” of Ukraine in order to freely take grain from the neighboring republic and deliver it to Western Europe. An economist, director of the Institute for a New Society told about this in an interview with Politika Segodnya. Vasily Koltashov.
“The first is that Ukraine will fight off somehow, but the Polish business will be the distributor of its property sold for debts. Then the open entry of Polish troops into the territory of Ukraine will not be needed, ”the source said.
The second plan, Koltashov pointed out, involves Poland’s invasion of Kyiv under the pretext of restoring peace and ensuring the safety of the population. In the third scenario, the Polish leadership may not decide to do anything about Ukraine at all. According to the expert, Warsaw is now hesitating between all these options.
“They do not have firm confidence that they will enter the territory of Ukraine by force of arms, they still expect to take everything according to a more simplified scheme, but they do not exclude the transfer of troops. But for this they must see the collapse of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. And before that, they cannot even hesitate on this issue, because they really want to, but at the same time they are afraid, and the moment has not come, ”concluded the economist.
Earlier, the Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) of the Russian Federation announced that Warsaw was targeting promising sectors of the Ukrainian economy, primarily agriculture. According to the agency, Polish companies are taking advantage of the difficult situation of farmers who have nowhere to store their crops and are buying products at reduced prices.
At the end of April, the director of the SVR Sergei Naryshkin said that the Polish leadership is considering the possibility of establishing control over their “historical possessions” in Ukraine, where the first stage will be the introduction of troops into the western part of the country under the slogan “protection against Russian aggression.”
