Maria Kolesnikova, a member of the Presidium of the Coordination Council of the Belarusian Opposition, was transferred from the Minsk jail to remand prison No. 8 in Zhodino, Minsk region, reports RIA Novosti, referring to the press secretary of the headquarters of the ex-candidate for the post of the head of Belarus Viktor Babariko Gleb German.
He clarified that her lawyer Lyudmila Kazak told about Kolesnikova's transfer to Zhodino. What caused this is not reported.
Earlier, investigators said that Kolesnikova, as well as another member of the Presidium of the Constitutional Court, Maxim Znak detained as suspects in a criminal case of calls for the seizure of power.
Recall Kolesnikova was detained while crossing the Belarusian-Ukrainian border. She was placed in SIZO No. 1 on Volodarskogo Street in Minsk. Opposition representatives Anton Rodnenkov and Ivan Kravtsov, who were with her, left the country.
