Kiev has threatened Russia with “asymmetric steps” in the event of the termination of gas supplies to the territory of Ukraine. This was stated by the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Dmitry Kuleba.
He stressed that Russia has not yet cut off the supply of blue fuel.
“Should the Kremlin decide to do this and destroy the remnants of its reputation as an energy supplier to Europe, we have a number of asymmetric retaliatory steps,” he wrote on his Twitter account.
Earlier it was reported that the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky offered Gazprom a 50% discount on gas transit in excess of the contract. Also, the head of the board of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine, Yuriy Vitrenko, stated that the country can fully provide itself with blue fuel and refuse to import it within five years.
