Ukraine responded to the decree of the Russian president, which entered into force on March 20, on the order to own land in Crimea for foreigners. A spokesman for the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry called him legally null and void.
According to Oleg Nikolenko, this decree of Vladimir Putin will have no legal consequences for Ukraine.
In an interview with RBC Ukraine, Nikolenko said that when Ukraine’s sovereignty in Crimea is restored, the levs will be returned to agricultural plots to their legitimate owners.
The press secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine also promised that great attention will be paid to the issue on the “Crimean Platform”. This international summit will take place in August this year.
Let us remind you that the decree prohibiting foreign citizens from having land on most plots in Crimea was given by Putin in March. Most of the areas of the peninsula flew in accordance with it into the border areas.
