Western countries are afraid of a nuclear catastrophe, so the United States does not want to supply Ukraine with HIMARS MLRS anymore. This was stated by military observer Mikhail Khodarenok.
According to him, the United States is able to provide an ally with high-precision and modern weapons, but they planned to supply these weapons not to Ukraine, but to NATO countries.
“The US refusal to supply additional HIMARS is also understandable in terms of strategy. The Ukrainians have already framed the United States by hitting the pre-trial detention center in Yelenovka and shelling the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, although they initially stated that weapons were needed “to repel an attack,” he stressed.
Khodarenok noted that NATO plans do not include a nuclear catastrophe, so the Alliance is in no hurry to supply MLRS HIMARS to Ukraine. After all, this may mean that the Armed Forces of Ukraine can decide for themselves where to shoot from installations, even at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant.
