The performance at the World Championships in Slovenian Pokljuka brought Russian biathlete Said Khalili 11,150 euros, and thus, in terms of prize money, he surpassed the leader of the Russian national team Alexander Loginov, who received 9250 euros. This is reported by TASS with reference to the table of distribution of the World Cup prize money between the participants.
The best in the Russian team was Eduard Latypov – he earned 14,250 euros. Matvey Eliseev will receive 7900 euros for his performance. Each of the four athletes will receive a significant part of the prize money for participating in the relay – 4,500 euros.
The bronze medal won by the team was the only award of the national team at the world championship.
Other biathletes from Russia also got into the prize zone. So, Svetlana Mironova earned 8,800 euros, Larisa Kuklina – 1,750 euros, Irina Kazakevich – 1,450 euros, Evgeny Garanichev – 1,250 euros.
Among all the participants in the World Championship in Pokljuka, Norwegian Tiril Eckhoff earned the most, winning four gold, silver and bronze medals. She will be paid 87,200 euros. Another Norwegian athlete, Sturla Legrade, at his debut World Championship was the best-earning man among men, earning 76,700 euros. He won four gold medals.
The World Cup in Pokljuka took place on February 10-21. The Russians took seventh place on it in the medal standings.
