For several months now, Kate Middleton and Prince William have been fulfilling their royal duties by video. Yesterday, the 38-year-old Duchess of Cambridge made a virtual visit to Cloud's House Addiction Treatment Center in Wiltshire.
Since 2012, Kate Middleton has been the patroness of Action on Addition, which works with people with alcohol and drug addiction. Cloud's House is under the patronage of the Duchess. It remained open during the self-isolation regime thanks to a team of professional employees who followed all the government's recommendations for ensuring safety for patients and visitors.
First, the Director General of Action on Addiction Graham Beach gave the Duchess a virtual tour of the rehabilitation center, and then the wife of Prince William talked with his clients and their relatives.
The most disturbing thing is that these people who are struggling do not always ask for help. Perhaps they do not feel that they can ask for it. Or, perhaps, they did not realize that they became addicted, especially if this is the first time and they do not speak about it publicly. Here they can ask for help and know that you are here to help them and support them in difficult times,
- she said.
