This afternoon, 38-year-old Prince William and Kate Middleton paid a new official visit to the famous Beigel bakery, located in East London, which has been operating since 1974. The Dukes of Cambridge met with the son of the founder of the bakery and its employees to discuss how the coronavirus pandemic has affected their work.
In a conversation with the spouses, the owner of the bakery, Elias Cohen, admitted that during the quarantine, their 24-hour bakery was forced to reduce opening hours and send most of the employees on vacation. Despite the losses incurred, the business joined a food donation program for people in need of assistance in the East End.
