Karpin promised to become a “clown” in the Russian national team instead of Dziuba

The head coach of the Russian national team Valery Karpin commented on the absence of the forward of St. Petersburg Zenit Artem Dziuba in the team. This is reported by Championship.com.

According to the coach, the absence of Dziuba in the Russian national team can both help the rest of the players to open up, and vice versa. “The players say that they lack Artyom’s jokes, but now I’m going to joke. I will be a clown, ”promised Karpin.

On August 16, it became known that Dziuba was not called up to the national team for the September matches of the qualifying tournament for the 2022 World Cup. Karpin explained the decision by the fact that the forward is not in the best shape. The Russians will have meetings against Croatia (September 1) and Cyprus (September 4).

On August 10, Dziuba and Karpin had a two-hour conversation. Prior to that, the coach of the Russian national team noted that his personal relationship with the players would not affect the workers.
