Summer is coming to an end, and so is the 10th anniversary Russian short film festival Koroche, which takes place annually at the end of August in Kaliningrad.
What did the guests and participants remember about this event?
First of all, interesting directorial and camera work, which were presented to the jury and appreciated.
The first place went to director Sofya Raizman for her film “Merry Monday”, a lyrical comedy about love in the era of a pandemic. Sergey Filatov received another prize for the film “Tears dripped into Pho-Bo” about human unpredictability and funny life lessons. And the choice of the special jury fell on Sergey Anfinogentov’s animated fantasy “Swept into the Starry Depths”, this tape, one might say, became the Russian answer to “Interstellar”. There were other nominations for best director, best script, etc.
But let’s not dwell on this for a long time, let’s get back to the event.
