Portuguese mentor Jose Mourinho was ousted last month from his post as head coach of Tottenham. In the future, he will head the Italian Roma.
The Portuguese coach will lead the new team from the 2021/2022 season. The Portuguese signed a contract with Roma until June 30, 2024, when Mourinho’s compatriot Paulo Fonseca would leave the team at the end of the season.
The contract with Tottenham and Mourinho was signed in November 2019 and was calculated until the summer of 2023. The two-time Champions League winner was expelled from office on April 19. Jose Mourinho has already worked hard in Italy, and in 2010, together with Inter Milan, took the Champions League, beating Josep Guardiola’s Berselona and Louis van Gaal’s Bayern in the semifinals.
Roma this season, under the leadership of Paulo Fonseca, are on the seventh line in the standings of Serie A. The club also reached the semifinals of the Europa League, where it meets with Manchester United. The opening match was promoted with a score of 2: 6.
