Russia voted in the elections – the official results will be known already this afternoon. In the meantime, we are sharing an anecdote that the Russians came up with as soon as the voting ended.
The country voted for deputies to the State Duma. In addition, regional deputies were elected locally – city councils or local parliaments. The state tried to make the elections a holiday, including in order to increase the turnout.
So, in Moscow, voters were offered to participate in the drawing. And a number of prizes were provided for those who decided to vote electronically. For example, you could win points, which would then become a nice discount or “hard” currency. Hence the joke of the day:
Those who won 10 thousand demand to make the elections monthly.
By the way, among those who won 10 thousand points was the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov. Or, for example, the chief editor of “Echo of Moscow” Alexei Venediktov.
