The head of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Zhaparov said that the republic hopes for an open and fair investigation of the involvement of foreign citizens in the protests in Kazakhstan. The words of the politician are quoted by RIA Novosti.
Zhaparov clarified that recently, “in the media and social networks, there has been a spread of information regarding foreign citizens, including Kyrgyz citizens, about their involvement in pogroms and riots” in Kazakhstan.
Recall that on the eve of a number of Kazakh media published footage with the recognition of the Kyrgyz musician Vikram Ruzakhunov in participation in the pogroms in Alma-Ata. The video shows traces of beatings on his face.
His arrest caused a resonance in the social networks of Kyrgyzstan. In Bishkek, a rally was held near the Embassy of Kazakhstan, the participants of which demanded the release of Ruzakhunov.
Today the musician was released from custody.
