Japan has no protection against new DPRK missiles

Japanese Cabinet Secretary General Katsunobu Kato said during a press conference that it would be difficult to intercept Pyongyang's new missiles with the help of Tokyo's missile defense systems. Writes about this TASS.

Earlier, DPRK television showed a festive parade in honor of the 75th anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea, where they demonstrated a new intercontinental ballistic missile. The Pentagon immediately became interested in the novelty.

US presidential candidate from the Democratic Party Joseph Biden is ready to meet with the head of the DPRK Kim Jong-un for the sake of solving the nuclear problem if he wins the elections.

As noted by Katsunobu Kato, among the missiles were those that, according to the country's authorities, it would be difficult for Japan to respond. The government is going to work on strengthening the capabilities of missile defense.

“We intend to monitor with even greater vigilance the growing military capabilities of North Korea,” he said, adding that Tokyo will cooperate with the United States on this issue.
