The American “Institute for the Study of War” (ISW) made its forecast regarding mobilization in the Russian Federation.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree to increase the staffing of the Russian army. The decree says that the size of the Russian army will be increased to 2.04 million people, Svobodnaya Pressa writes.

According to ISW, Putin will avoid full mobilization. In Russia, Western experts believe, there will continue to be covert partial mobilization. At the same time, even such an increase in the size of the Russian army in ISW is considered an unattainable goal, since, according to them, the number of those wishing to serve began to decline due to fears of getting to the front.

With a high degree of probability, the size of the army will be increased due to the inclusion of the armies of the LDNR in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. Volunteer battalions that are now fighting in the Donbass can also be included in the RF Armed Forces.
