Israeli authorities decide to temporarily close Ben Gurion International Airport

The Israeli government decided on Sunday to close the country’s main international airport, Ben Gurion.

It will not accept arriving flights from 26 January in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus in the country

The restrictions will be in effect for a week, state radio Kan reported.

This week, the Israeli government decided to extend the total quarantine due to a surge in the incidence of coronavirus. It became the third lockdown in the country since the start of the pandemic.
