Israel may open entry to Sputnik V vaccinated tourists in November

The Israeli authorities supported the initiative of the Minister of Tourism Yoel Razvozov on admitting foreign tourists vaccinated with the Russian Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine into the country from November 15, TASS reports.

As the Israeli government source clarified, the corresponding decision on the recognition of the Russian-developed drug must be approved by the Cabinet.

According to the interlocutor of the agency, upon approval of the decision by the government, tourists “fully vaccinated by Sputnik V” will begin to enter the country, while “the last vaccination must be made no later than six months before arrival.” At the airport, those arriving will also have to do a second PCR test and undergo a serological test.

Earlier, the director of the Research Center of Gamaleya, Alexander Gintsburg, pointed to the effectiveness of Sputnik V against all variants of coronavirus infection, including a new type of delta strain.
