Iranian Ambassador to Moscow Kazem Jalali announced the conclusion of an agreement with Russia on cooperation on the Sputnik V vaccine, including its production in the Islamic Republic.
As reported by IRNA, Russia and Iran signed an agreement on the purchase of a Russian drug against coronavirus and its joint production on the eve of January 29.
It is also noted that the first batch of Sputnik V vaccine will be sent to Iran by February 4.
According to Kazem Jalali, an Iranian delegation will visit Russia in the near future to discuss the production of Sputnik V in Iran.
Earlier it became known that the Iranian authorities approved the Sputnik V vaccine. The Organization for the Control of Medicines and Foods under the Ministry of Health of Iran has authorized the urgent use of the Russian vaccine in the country.
