Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Said Khatibzade said that Tehran submitted to Kiev a report on the investigation into the crash of a Ukrainian passenger plane, RIA Novosti reports.
The corresponding report was prepared in online format by the Iranian civil aviation organization. According to the diplomat, other interested parties also received the report.
Earlier it became known that Iran did not allow the investigators of Ukraine to interrogate suspects in the plane crash. In turn, the Iranian authorities then promised to submit a report soon, assuring that the country is making every effort to achieve transparency in this work, in which various structures are involved.
As a reminder, a passenger plane of Ukraine International Airlines crashed on January 8, 2020 shortly after departure from Tehran airport. 176 passengers became victims of this terrible tragedy, among them were citizens of Iran, Ukraine, Canada, Britain, Germany, Sweden and Afghanistan.
The Iranian side claimed responsibility for the incident, admitting that the airliner was mistakenly shot down by air defense forces.
