Employees of the Investigative Committee of Russia conducted searches at the residence of the Krasnoyarsk businessman and politician Anatoly Bykov during the investigation of a criminal case of tax evasion, RIA Novosti reports, citing the press service of the Investigative Committee for the Krasnoyarsk Territory and Khakassia.
According to information from the businessman’s lawyer Alexei Prokhorov, SOBR fighters arrived at the Sosny residence, where the Bykov family lives.
It is noted that the actions were carried out during the investigation of the criminal case on tax evasion. Documents of the financial and economic activities of organizations controlled by Bykov were found and seized. Searches in the residence continue.
Anatoly Bykov was detained in May 2020. He was suspected of organizing the murder of two people in 1994 who were members of his criminal group. In early September, he was finally charged.
Later, the Krasnoyarsk businessman and politician was suspected of another crime – tax evasion in the amount of tens of millions of rubles. The court decided to seize the suspect’s property worth over 81 million rubles.
Earlier, the Krasnoyarsk Regional Court reduced the term of arrest of local businessman and politician Anatoly Bykov by three days. He will be in custody until February 21, 2021.
