Employees of the A.A. Smorodintseva, the Ministry of Health of Russia is developing another vaccine against coronavirus, reports RIA Novosti, referring to the Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Mikhail Murashko.
According to him, the first preliminary results on this scientific development should appear in the near future.
In his head of the institute, Dmitry Lioznov clarified that clinical trials of the vaccine, according to the plan, should begin in the fall, and by next spring the drug may already become available.
Currently, three vaccines against COVID-19 are registered in the Russian Federation: Sputnik V from the Gamaleya Research Center for Electrochemistry, Epivakkorona from the Vector Center of Rospotrebnadzor and Kovivak from the Chumakov Center.
Earlier it was reported that the center “Vector” is working on a combination vaccine that will simultaneously protect against coronavirus and influenza. The drug is currently being tested on animals.
