In Turkey, vacationers were banned from visiting city centers on New Year’s Eve

The Turkish Ministry of Internal Affairs decided to prohibit the celebration of the New Year in the central squares, boulevards and city streets, the restrictions will be in effect from 21.00 December 31 to 10.00 January 1 for all residents, including tourists.

“In Istanbul, these are, first of all, Istiklal Street, Sultanahmet Square, in Ankara – Kyzylai Square, in Izmir – Gundogdu Square,” the document says.

A complete list of territories where it will not be possible to go on New Year’s Eve will be determined by the provincial authorities, writes RIA Novosti.

We will remind, from December 30, air passengers need to get a negative test for COVID-19 to enter Turkey.

Also, the authorities of this country, against the background of the growth of coronavirus infections, have banned mass entertainment events for tourists. The ban will be in effect from 21.00 December 31 to 05.00 January 4.
