White House press secretary Jen Psaki spoke about the progress of COVID-19 vaccine supplies to the US states, TASS reports.
So far, the US authorities have distributed two of the six million doses of coronavirus vaccine, she said. Delays in deliveries were caused by abnormal cold weather in the country.
“We look forward to quickly catching up on lost time in the week, filling the gap, making sure vaccines are on-site, and meeting deadlines and schedules,” Psaki said.
Earlier it was reported that thousands of American military personnel are refusing to get vaccinated against COVID-19 due to reports of negative cases that are spreading on the Internet. In some army units, only one third of the soldiers agree to be vaccinated.
