The United States conducted the second tests of the first stage engine of a hypersonic missile, RIA Novosti reports.
The solid propellant engine was tested at the Promontory test site in Utah. US Navy officials report successful completion.
It is known that previous engine tests took place at the same test site in May and August of this year.
The tests are being carried out in order to create a hypersonic missile for the US ground and naval forces.
Earlier it was reported that the United States delayed testing of hypersonic weapons a few days before the June summit of the head of the White House, Joe Biden and Russian leader Vladimir Putin, so as not to create tensions in relations with Moscow.
