In Qingdao, China, all residents to be tested for coronavirus

In the Chinese city of Qingdao, located in Shandong province, all residents will be tested for coronavirus, TASS reports.

This decision was made by the local authorities after six asymptomatic carriers were found in the city, five of which are local residents. According to the plan, residents of five districts of Qingdao will be tested in three days, after which the entire city will be tested within five days.

It is a major tourist center, which received more than 4.7 million tourists from other regions of the country during the "golden week" in honor of the founding of the PRC. The population is about 9.4 million people.

Now the city has introduced an emergency response mode, there are queues at the test points. Some have already received notifications about the need for testing and are in a hurry to pass it.

In total, 53 cases of coronavirus were registered in China per day, three of them were from local residents. In total, there are about 85.5 thousand cases in the country. Earlier, experts explained why China has a low spread of COVID-19.

The number of people infected with coronavirus in the world has exceeded 37 million. For the second day in Russia, record incidence rates are recorded.
