An unknown man threw a grenade at an Azerbaijani checkpoint in Nagorno-Karabakh, Baku Trend News Agency reported.

It is clarified that the state of emergency happened at a checkpoint near the village of Dashalty in the vicinity of the city of Shusha. According to the agency, the attacker was detained by Russian peacekeepers. There is no data on the victims of the incident.

Earlier, Armenian President Armen Sarkissian, in a conversation with the editor-in-chief of AiF Igor Chernyak, called the presence of Russian forces in Karabakh extremely important. According to him, the activities of peacekeepers from Russia are of great importance for regional politics.
