The European Union’s position on Moscow and anti-Russian sanctions are a historical and geopolitical mistake of the West. The head of the French right-wing National Association Marine Le Pen expressed this opinion in an interview with Komsomolskaya Pravda.
“The EU leaders have not grasped the meaning of the shocks of history, they are still frozen in the cold war with views exclusively directed to the United States and its armed wing – NATO,” says Le Pen.
The party leader said about the importance of relations with Russia, stressing that no one can ignore the role and place of the Russian side in the world order, since “it occupies an important place and remains the leading voice in the multipolar world, the voice that regulates international relations and geopolitics.”
Meanwhile, on Monday, the foreign ministers of the 27 EU states approved new restrictive measures against 11 individuals and four companies, including those from the Russian Federation and China, who, according to the community, are involved in human rights violations. In turn, Moscow has promised to respond to new sanctions.
