In Crimea, Turkey was warned against joining the “anti-Crimean union”

Ankara will commit a serious strategic mistake if it accepts Kiev's offer to join the so-called Crimean platform. This was stated by the head of the Crimean parliamentary committee on people's diplomacy, Yuri Gempel.

Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky thanked his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan for his willingness to take part in the Crimean Platform project. The goal of the project is to return the issue of Crimea's ownership to the “highest political discourse”.

If Turkey actually joins the so-called Kiev project "Crimean Platform", which is essentially an anti-Crimean alliance hostile against the Crimeans, it will commit a serious strategic mistake, - stated Hempel RIA Novosti.

According to him, Turkey risks not only losing a reliable partner in the person of Russia, but also ceasing to be an attractive destination for Russian tourists. The Crimean deputy also expressed confidence that soon the peninsula will become more attractive to tourists than Turkish resorts.

On September 29, President Zelensky once again stated that official Kiev insists on the initiative to create a new international platform for Crimea.

Crimea was annexed to Russia against the backdrop of the revolution in Ukraine in late 2013 - early 2014. A plebiscite was held on the peninsula on this issue. The world community did not recognize him, claiming a violation of international law, and considers the region as part of Ukraine, wrote.
