The working group in Crimea to assess the damage caused by Kiev has evidence of the involvement of ex-President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko in the water blockade of the peninsula.
These materials will be transferred to the investigating authorities for making a procedural decision, said Sergei Trofimov, head of the Crimean parliament’s committee on legislation.
He explained that the blocking of the North Crimean Canal took place with the approval and control of Poroshenko.
In addition, according to the deputy, the former Ukrainian leader may also appear in lawsuits for transport, food and energy blockades against Crimea, RIA Novosti reports.
Earlier, the speaker of the parliament of the republic, Vladimir Konstantinov, called the statement of the Kiev authorities about possible negotiations on the resumption of water supply to the peninsula through the North Crimean Canal cynicism and also a bluff.
He noted that Kiev itself already admits that the Dnieper is losing its tributaries and is gradually turning into a dirty swamp.
