In Crimea, it was proposed to change the tactics of the struggle for Scythian gold

There is a chance to return the Crimean gold, but this will require a change of tactics in the trial, said Alexander Molokhov, deputy head of the working group on international legal issues at the permanent representation of Crimea under the President of the Russian Federation. This was reported by RIA Novosti.

Molokhov called the tactics of non-interference of the Russian Federation in this issue as erroneous, because the collection of Crimean treasures is an integral part of the country’s museum fund, “federal state property and in this capacity cannot be alienated in favor of Ukraine.”

According to Molokhov, Russia must necessarily enter into a dispute as a third party. The specialist also believes that the return of the collection to Ukraine contradicts not only a number of norms of international law, but also the basic principles of inter-museum exchange, the rules for preserving archaeological finds inextricably linked with history and culture.

Earlier, the head of the Ukrainian community of Crimea, Anastasia Gridchina, called on the Kiev authorities to abandon claims for the collection of Scythian gold. According to her, no other land, except for the Crimean one, where the artifacts were found, can claim them.
