Doctors of the Regional Clinical Hospital No. 2 in Chelyabinsk rescued a pregnant woman who was diagnosed with a coronavirus with complete lung damage.

As a result, a boy was born, now nothing threatens the life of the child and his mother, RIA Novosti reports, citing the regional Ministry of Health.

A resident of Magnitogorsk named Svetlana was in the 27th week of pregnancy, her condition was very serious, and the chances of salvation are small.

For a month, anesthesiologists-resuscitators and obstetricians-gynecologists fought for the life of mom and baby. And they succeeded, little Zhenya was born.

Now the boy is in a stable condition in intensive care under the round-the-clock supervision of doctors.

In mid-January, Russian Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko announced that a new, third version of the guidelines for the treatment of pregnant women with COVID-19 would be released in the near future.

Doctors have created new recommendations for helping infected women during pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period.
