The volume of supplies of Russian weapons abroad in 2020 amounted to about $ 13 billion, Interfax reports with reference to the head of Rostec Sergei Chemezov.
According to him, the plan for military-technical cooperation, which was approved by the president, is being implemented. He added that the volume of supplies last year amounted to about $ 13 billion. Chemezov specified that the volume was approximately the same in 2019.
The Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Alexander Fomin, said in March last year that Russia retains its leading positions in the international arms market among states that are the main exporters of military products. According to him, in 2019, the country exported weapons worth more than $ 15.2 billion to 50 countries of the world.
Last spring, Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov announced that individual exporters of Russian military products would receive additional government support.
