How to understand that the diet lacks vitamins?

– All surveys show that the majority of Russians are deficient in vitamins. It is often said that they can detect this by changes in skin, nails, hair, weakness, etc. These signs are deceiving. It is easier to assess your diet, it will help you understand whether you have a vitamin deficiency or not. For example, if you eat less than 500 g of vegetables and fruits per day, then you probably lack a number of vitamins. The exact same conclusion can be made if you do not consume 200 g of meat, poultry or fish daily, and also do not regularly eat eggs and dairy products. Or if you buy regular bread, not fortified with vitamins or made from whole grain flour. The lack of all these products and the predominant consumption of semi-finished products, potatoes and pasta will almost certainly lead to hypovitaminosis.
