When an attempt is made to split a hollow ceramic block with a trowel, its partitions are inevitably destroyed. It simply crumbles to pieces. Methods applicable to ordinary bricks do not work with it.
Here’s a great construction life hack with a few pieces of rebar, no special tool needed.
What you need:
- Rebar rods 30 cm each – 2 pcs.;
The process of splitting the ceramic block is smooth
A piece of reinforcement is placed on a flat solid base. A block is placed on it with a spoon so that the bar passes along the dividing line.
We put the second rod on top, and hit it with a hammer. As a result, the block splits exactly along the line, and practically without the formation of fragments.
